Sell your locked iPhone for cash

Most buyback sites turn locked phones away. We don't. Whether your iPhone is locked to a carrier, iCloud / activation locked, or blacklisted (bad ESN / IMEI, balance owed), Money4Phones pays real cash for it — as long as it powers on and isn't cracked or damaged.

Not sure which kind of lock you have? Enter the IMEI (dial *#06#) at checkout and we check it instantly: the site tells you which lock it found and shows the exact price before you ship anything.

Frequently asked questions

Who buys locked iPhones?

Money4Phones does. We buy carrier-locked, iCloud / activation-locked and blacklisted iPhones from anyone in the United States — 31 models right now, paying $21 to $740 depending on the model and the type of lock. Most trade-in programs (Apple, carriers, kiosks) refuse locked phones; we buy them as resale or parts units.

What's the difference between carrier-locked, iCloud-locked and blacklisted?

Carrier-locked means the phone only works on one carrier's SIM (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile…) but is otherwise clean — it pays close to the unlocked price. iCloud / activation-locked means the previous Apple ID is still on it (Find My iPhone on), so it can't be set up — it pays a parts-unit price. Blacklisted means the IMEI was flagged by a carrier, usually for an unpaid balance — it pays the lowest of the three. The IMEI check at checkout tells you which one you have.

Can I sell an iPhone that still has a balance owed on it?

Yes. A phone with a balance owed usually shows as blacklisted or financed on the IMEI check and is priced at the blacklisted rate for that model. You must be the owner of the phone.

Do you buy locked iPhones with a cracked screen?

No. Locked or blacklisted iPhones must power on and be undamaged — no cracked glass, no display problems. A locked phone that arrives damaged isn't purchased; we send a recycle notice and can return it for the cost of the label.

How is the price confirmed?

The price on this page is the current offer for each model. At checkout you enter the IMEI and we run a live check (carrier, Find My, blacklist). The price shown after the check is the price you lock for 30 days — no surprise deductions when it arrives.

How do I sell a locked iPhone to Money4Phones?

Pick the model on money4phones.com, enter the IMEI, lock the locked-phone price, and we email a prepaid USPS or UPS label. Ship it, we verify it on arrival, and you're paid by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Cash App within 48 hours of approval.

Is Money4Phones legit?

Money4Phones has bought used phones since 2009, was one of the original buyers on uSell's trade-in program, has 600+ five-star reviews on Swappa and is a Top Rated Seller on eBay. Phones ship to our facility in Rolla, Missouri.
